Immigration, economy and Latinos

Mi gente, this immigration debate is not an illegal immigration debate; it is taking shape as an anti Latino/Hispanic movement. All we hear is about those brown people that speak Spanish. We never hear about other potential illegal immigrants that may enter this country. The latest comes from the world of baseball where teams that have Hispanic players are telling them to stay closed to the hotels, carry special designated player identification cards with the team contacts and to carry all papers. What is next? We are going to need to carry our passports always? This is becoming a witch hunt towards Latinos. The proponents of laws like the one in Arizona say that they are trying to combat crime ( not true) that Latinos take the jobs that otherwise would go to Americans. I don’t know you, but I have never seen an American working the farms in the field, working landscaping, or working other lower paying jobs. This country has been built in the backs, the sweat, blood and tears of immigrants, and it is not only preposterous, but and insult that now that the economy is in shambles (caused by the powers that be) not Latinos, we as race are suffering the consequences. One last question: Who in this country is a “true” American? I mean, besides the Native Americans, who are Americans? just about everyone is immigrant descendant, and last time I checked, when England took over this country, the Immigration department did not exist, on the contrary, immigration was encouraged to help build the railroads, buildings and infrastructure.
